This How-To Article explains how to convert a color image into a black and white (grayscale) image.

1. Insert the image you would like to change to black and white.

2. Click the image.

3. The Picture toolbar will appear.

4. Click the "Image Control" button. (This button is the second from the left on the Picture toolbar.)

5. From the menu that appears after clicking the button, select "Grayscale".
