Word Stops Responding When You Open or Edit a Document That Contains a List

Solution:

1. Start Word 2000 and open a new blank document.
2. Type this is a test and then press ENTER.
3. Click in the line of text, and then click the bullet icon.
4. On the Tools menu, point to Track Changes, and then click Highlight Changes.
5. Click to select Track changes while editing.
6. Click Options.
7. In the Track Changes dialog box, under Deleted text, in the Mark drop-down list, select Hidden.
8. Click OK twice to return to the document.
9. Select only the paragraph mark at the end of the text, and then delete the paragraph mark.
