Your Inbox folder may be renamed when you delete an appointment in Outlook 2000

Solution:
If you have upgraded from a previous version of Outlook, you may have the Exchng32.exe program on your hard disk. If this is the case, you can rename the Inbox by using this program.

Note: With a clean installation of Outlook 2000 on Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), you might not have the Exchng32.exe program.

To revert the mis-named Outlook Inbox folder to its original state, follow these steps: 1. After you close Outlook 2000, click Start, point to Run, type exchng32.exe, and then press ENTER.
2. In the left panel of the Exchange Client application, right-click on the mis-named folder, and then click Rename.
3. Type Inbox, and then press ENTER to rename the folder.
4. Close the Exchange Client application and restart Outlook.
