Copying A Format In Excel.

Solution: You may have used the Format Painter in Word, but it's possible that you have never noticed it in Excel. To see how Format Painter works, open a blank worksheet and enter anything in cell A1. Now, click cell A1 and choose Format/Cells. When the Format Cells dialog box opens, click the Patterns tab. Select any color and click OK. Click in cell A5 now, and enter something. Click in cell A1 again to select it and then click the Format Painter button (its icon is a paintbrush). Your pointer will turn into a plus sign and a paintbrush. Click cell A5 and it will assume the formatting, color and all, of Cell A1. | |
