Failed NT backup:

I failed running NT backup; it gave me the details on the backup.log: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Backup Status Operation: Backup Active backup destination: File Media name: "backupfilename.bkf created 10/15/2008 at 1:00 PM" Volume shadow copy creation: Attempt 1. Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:0x8004230f. Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:8004230f Aborting Backup. ---------------------- The operation did not successfully complete. ---------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This issue occurs because the VSS system files are not registered. SOLUTION: 1. Type the following command at a command prompt. Press ENTER after you type the command. regsvr32 /u swprv.dll 2. Try to perform a backup operation. | |
